Challenge
A fashion e-commerce brand acquiring customers profitably but losing them after the first order. Checkout completion lagged, repeat purchase revenue was flat, and paid social was doing all the heavy lifting on its own.
Solution
We tuned the Shopify experience for the two moments that matter most in fashion: completing the first checkout and coming back for the second. Checkout friction was removed step by step, and Meta campaigns were segmented to treat new and returning buyers differently.
Impact
Paid media reached a 5.1x ROAS, returning-customer revenue grew 36%, and checkout completion improved 22% — growth from buyers the brand had already paid to acquire.
Results
5.1x ROAS
+36% Returning Revenue
+22% Checkout Rate
Overview
EightFour had cracked acquisition but was leaving the cheapest revenue on the table: the second order. Every new customer was hard-won, then treated exactly like a stranger.
Our work focused on compounding what already worked — a smoother checkout to stop losing buyers at the finish line, and a returning-customer strategy in paid social instead of endlessly chasing cold audiences.
The outcome shows in the ratio: a 5.1x blended return on ad spend, with more than a third more revenue coming from customers who came back.
